Meet & Greet Engagement between the Director Generals of the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA), and the National Communications Authority (NatCA).

On Friday, 13th March, 2026, the National Communications Authority (NatCA) presented food items to nine religious institutions as part of its humanitarian outreach during the sacred periods of Ramadan and Lent. The symbolic donation ceremony took place at the Authority’s new premises at South Ridge Headquarters of NatCA.

Welcoming media representatives and religious leaders, the Director General of the Authority, Mr. Amara Brewah, accentuated the importance of compassion, solidarity, and national unity during periods of spiritual reflection. He noted that the initiative forms part of NatCA’s commitment to supporting communities and strengthening the longstanding culture of religious tolerance and coexistence in Sierra Leone.

The Director General, joined by the Deputy Director General, Madam Mamaa Seiwoh-Koroma, along with members of the NatCA management team in formally handing over the donated food items to representatives of the nine beneficiary institutions comprising five masjids and four churches.

Each institution received five bags of rice (100kg), one bag of flour, one bag of white sugar, one bag of salt, one carton of cubed Maggi seasoning, one carton of tomato paste, and one five-gallon container of vegetable oil to support congregants observing the fasting and prayer periods.

3.⁠ ⁠IMATT Umar Bun Dathab Mosque
4.⁠ ⁠Brookfields Masjid Rahman

Churches:
1.⁠ ⁠Our Lady Star of the Sea Church – Juba
2.⁠ ⁠St. Luke’s Church – Wilberforce
3.⁠ ⁠St. Paul’s Church – SS Camp
4.⁠ ⁠St. John Paul Church – Grafton

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Mohamed Chernor Jalloh, the chief officiating imam from the Imo-Zikri Masjid expressed profound gratitude to NatCA for the generous gesture. He commended the Authority for its continued commitment to promoting peace, social cohesion, and the spirit of interfaith that defines Sierra Leone’s national identity.

The ceremony concluded with duas, prayers and goodwill messages for the continued peace, unity, and development of our beloved nation.
